ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
The successful candidate will provide the leadership necessary to promote a rigorous and comprehensive instructional program that ensures the academic, social, and emotional success of a diverse student body of students in an elementary school setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent human relations skills.
Outstanding personal and professional integrity.
Demonstrates the ability to be an instructional leader in core subject areas.
Supports teachers during high-quality professional development in literacy and mathematics.
Passionate about teaching and learning for all students.
Valid NYS certification as School Administrator & Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) required.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant school teaching experience, grades K-6.
Thorough knowledge of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Standards & NYS Assessments.
Experience with using student management systems.
Experience implementing socio-emotional skills education.
Successful experience integrating technology initiatives to increase student achievement and engagement aimed at developing 21st-century skills in students.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration among stakeholders, including parents, teachers, staff, and community, in supporting student success.
Salary: In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement of MIAA
