Job Description

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, coordination and integration of technology into the district’s educational programs.
• Develops and leads ongoing and long-range planning for the district’s educational programs and educational technology needs, resulting in a district 5-year plan.
• Supervises the technical and business programs and staff.
• Supervises instructional technology and support staff.
• Coordinates technology training and staff development.
• Supervises the district’s and schools’ websites.
• Oversees evaluation of hardware, software, and Internet websites for use in the instructional program.
• Obtains grant funding for technology programs, when available.
• Serves as a resource to district staff in developing and implementing building plans for the use of technology in the classroom.
• Assumes all other duties as assigned.
• Supervises school-business partnerships.
• Participates in county and regional technology events.

 

Qualifications:

• NYS SDL or SDA Certification required.
• Expertise in the use of instructional technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Salary: Per Administrative Contract

Effective:  July 1, 2026
