The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel & Community Services substantially and effectively by providing development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the K-12 Mental Health program and student attendance. Work with principals and directors to ensure coordination of mental health programs among all school buildings Supervise and evaluate K-4 school counselors, social workers, and nurses.
Qualifications: NYS-SDA/SDL required. Additional NYS Certification as a provider of mental health services (i.e. school counselor, school psychologist, or school social worker). 5 years of successful experience as a provider of mental health services in a school setting Considerable knowledge of policies and practices of public school administration. Thorough understanding of mental health services provided in a school setting and related areas as set forth by New York State Education Law. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills.
